Experience

Experience the Rhythm of the River

Escape the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and journey deep into the watery heart of Southern Vietnam. A 2-day Mekong Delta tour offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, allowing you to witness the authentic 'slow life' of the delta residents. Unlike rushed day trips, an overnight stay in Can Tho or a riverside homestay gives you exclusive access to the region's most iconic spectacle: the Cai Rang Floating Market at sunrise. Navigate a maze of palm-fringed canals by traditional sampan, cycle through emerald rice paddies, taste honey fresh from the hive, and savor the region's famous elephant ear fish. Whether you choose a cozy local homestay or a comfortable hotel, this multi-day experience reveals the true soul of the Mekong.

  • Bring a zoom lens to capture boat-to-boat trading action

Insider Tips

  • Wake up 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time for the market to get the best coffee on the river
  • Bring small VND bills for buying fruit directly from boats
  • Try the 'rat meat' if you are adventurous (it's a delicacy in the rice fields!)

Highlight of our Vietnam trip

Doing the 2-day tour was the best decision. The 1-day trip would have been too rushed. Waking up in Can Tho to see the floating market at 5:30 AM was magical. Our guide Tuan was hilarious and knowledgeable.

Authentic Homestay

We chose the homestay option and loved it. The family cooked us an amazing dinner and we learned how to make spring rolls. The bike ride through the village was a highlight. Highly recommend bringing mosquito repellent!

Great experience, early start

The floating market is a must-see, but be prepared for an early wake-up call! The boat ride through the small canals was peaceful. The hotel in Can Tho was comfortable and clean.

Better than expected

I was worried about it being too touristy, but the small canal sampan ride felt very peaceful. The bee farm was interesting (try the honey tea!). Good value for money considering meals and transport are included.

Beautiful scenery

The scenery is very different from Saigon. I liked the fruit tasting. The bus ride from Ho Chi Minh is about 3-4 hours, which is long, but the guide made it entertaining.
